*toot*

nakakainis..

Nobody's perfect.

Haaay..

nostalgia: a word without letters

The cool, evening breeze calmly swept the hairs upon my face. It was just an ordinary night for most people but for me, it was a spectacle. Everything seemed perfect. The stars were perfectly sewn in a blanket of vast, tranquil darkness shrouded by misty clouds and the moon's heavenly light. Any person, no matter how one-dimensional, can make the same description of that night if he feels something that his straightforward mind nor his cloudy perception cannot explain. The relaxing winds comforted my rattled body, as I tried to enjoy despite being sick. I sat down with all my strength going in and out like the constant jabbering of the people around me. Despite my droppy eyes, the entire place was a paradise of colors. A sea of rainbow dresses dancing in a garden of flowers, both literal and figurative. All these with the night sky as the backdrop. Yes, it was all good but I can't seem to find any enjoyment from these. May be because I was ill; maybe because I failed to bring a gift. Whatever happened all my unexplainable, warring emotions came to a sudden halt as the sweet sound of Tamia's hit love song settled on the dancefloor, flooded by the sea of rainbow dresses. At that precise moment, I felt empowered, invigorated even. That I can do anything with a bropken down body. I was on top of the world. But, fate has its own agenda. And it didn't include my temporary euphoria. As my last dance ended, I went back to earth. And I realized again that what I was doing at that particular moment was useless. Just useless. All of a sudden, the stars started falling out of place, as if the thread holding them down to the blanket of darkness was cut off. The misty clouds converged hiding what was left from the fadiing sky, especially the moonlight. It was so sad, but I still had one more trick in my sleeve. Maybe, just maybe one more word can change everything. But, the only thing I got in reply was a cold, cruel word without letters.

*..let the love begin..then after 5 seconds end it..*

homili

This one should've been posted yesterday(Sunday) but I didn't have any net card. So I'm posting it today. Enjoy!

Bsta isa sa mga nakakabilib na narinig ko dun e yung tungkol sa love: "Love is never emotion; it is a descision." Nung narinig ko yan, parang weird. Kasi normally ang love nararamdaman lan natin yan eh. If there is one thing I learned in my 17(err, 18) years of existence is that love is something you can't pursue, something you can't easily get by doing outrageous stuff, something that you will feel sooner or later. But the priest presiding the mass was telling me that love is not a feeling, contrary to The Darkness' hit song. Ganito: sabihin nating me mag-asawa. It's basically rubbish. Stupid, right? Nasimulan ang isang relationship, either fling or for life dahil sa gusto nila. Makes sense, doesn't it?

Lam kong me mga mag-didisagree sa sibai ko pero kung iisipin niyo ng mabuti, me basis ung sinasabi ko. I mean, ung sinasabi pala ng pari.

hapee deyzz!!!

Well, I'm doing this post to correct myself.

If you have been reading my NBA related posts, you may have recalled me stating that the Mavs and all the teams that the Suns will face must let Steve Nash score as long as they limit his passing. But after watching the 2005 MVP dominate in the last 3 games of the series, I'm already taking back what I said. Clearly, the Canadian has taken his game to a new level. I have to agree with legend Bill Walton. I never imagined Nash to be this good. In the game 6 of the western semis between Dallas and Phoenix, Nash was spectacular as he took over the game. His descision making was flawless as Walton quipped. He was all over the place as he was 1 rebound short of his 2nd straight triple-double, finishing with 39 points, 9 rebounds and 12 assists. In the last 3 games he has averaged 40 pts and 9 assists. He joined legends Michael Jordan and Wilt Chamberlain as the only players to record a triple-double after scoring 40 in the playoffs. But it was his performance in Game 6, where he led the Suns to their first western conference finals appearance in 12 years, that opened the eys of the critics regarding the point guard's ability to deliver in the clutch.

well, that's it..congrats to the Suns..

sleeper

I can still see it.

That romantic, seconds-long movie about an obnoxious, nerdy-looking high school student in love with a fair damsel, a glamorous angel that is lightyears away from him. It happened 2 years ago, when I found myself in a situation I couldn't understand. Always the loser, never gaining anything after my numerous tries. I tried to be "one of them" but I still end up inside a dumpster containing social rejects, attention cravers and wasted lovers. Yet I still have the audacity to distance myself from the so-called "KSPs" just to have a place with the "astigs." Then there she was, out of the open. I never saw anyone look so enticing, so elegant in a buttoned school blouse and checkered skirt. She didn't have the face that could launch a thousand ships but she did have the aura that sunk a thousand hearts. She has the eyes that captivates anyone that dare look at it. She has what they call "simple beauty" but to her numerous admirers hers is out of this world. Just being close to her make me feel like Brad Pitt or Keanu Reeves. Looking at her was a joy to my eyes. It was like looking at the Mona Lisa. But of course, like any inanimate object, she didn't really pay close attention to my frantic admiration. Knowing this, I desperately tried to get her attention, but my efforts are more annoying than touching. As I lie in bed and reminisce I came to the conclusion that the princess I sought after is too high for me to reach. Trying hard won't get me closer and will just complicate things.

Then, as I entered the gates of submission, it happened.

I was just sitting by my lonesome(as always) busy creating an imaginary world of princes and princesses when I saw her comming my way. I didn't know what came to me. The mere sight of her walking to my direction makes me tremble. My heart was like a drum that's being pounded violently. It was like witnessing an aparition. I was busy marvelling on this unexpected wonder that I didn't notice her sit beside me.

Then, in unconditional fashion she kissed me.

She really kissed me.

At that particular moment, I didn't know what to do. I just sat there, immobile but deep inside I was jumping and dancing. I was gping wild. After that wondrous moment she whispered something to me but I didn't give much attention to it. I was too intoxicated with those sweet lips. I wished that time would just stop. But, fate was just cruel to pretenders like me. As I turned around to look at her near-perfect face, everything went dark. Strangely, I saw the ceiling of my room. As I stood up, I was dumbfounded.

I just woke up.

It took me seconds to realize it was all a dream.

I was still in bed, in the wee hours of the morning. I looked around and confirmed that I was in my room. Darn it. Why didn't I think of that? It was too good to be true. The only time and place where she can kiss me is when I'm asleep. In my foolish, fake dreams. I felt stupid. I let myself taken by an image projected by my mind. I felt like a total idiot. No wonder I did so many idiotic sh*t after that.

Months have passed now. And this stage of growing up has ended. I am now about to embark on another phase of my life, totally erasing the painful memories I naturally and deliberately forgot. It no longer bothers me.

Still, I can see that romantic, seconds-long movie being played. It's no longer in my dreams, though. But like any movie, it's still fake.

out of reach

Knew the signs
Wasn't right
I was stupid for a while
Swept away by you
And now I feel like a fool
So confused,
My heart's bruised
Was I ever loved by you?
Out of reach, so far
I never had your heart
Out of reach,
Couldn't see
We were never
Meant to be
Catch myself
From despair
I could drown
If I stay here
Keeping busy everyday
I know I will be OK
But I was
So confused,
My heart's bruised
Was I ever loved by you?
Out of reach, so far
I never had your heart
Out of reach,
Couldn't see
We were never
Meant to be
So much hurt,
So much pain
Takes a while
To regain
What is lost inside
And I hope that in time,
You'll be out of my mind
And I'll be over you
But now I'm
So confused,
My heart's bruised
Was I ever loved by you?
Out of reach,
So far
I never had your heart
Out of reach,
Couldn't see
We were never
Meant to be
Out of reach,
So farYou never gave your heart
In my reach, I can see
There's a life out there
For me

me namimiss ako...

It's been a while.

They say time flies when you're having fun. You are preoccupied with what you are doing without realizing that your time is up. Until now, I haven't gotten over the fact that it's all over. The rollercoaster has ended. We have to go down to let the next batch enjoy the ride. It's now time to move on and try the new challenges set before our very eyes. We can't just live in the past. True, the experiences that we shared in those joyous moments were incomparable but dwelling in yesterdays won't get us anywhere. It hurts so much to let go especially if it gives you so much pleasure holding to it. We just have to trust Him in all aspects and hope for the best. Besides, we will be seeing each other sooner or later. Worrying about the past is foolish. Why get anxious with something you can't change anymore? Why delve on the issues that's already out of our hands? Come to think about it, why worry at all? The only things we need to think about are our actions and descisions. Praying works. Don't get influenced that easily. do what's best. Botttomline: we must focus our attentions on what's in store for us, not on what is already behind us. Looking back will only remind us of the pain, and that will certainly affect how we grasp our future. I do not mean to sound like a hypocrite. I myself am not ready to go the next level. I want to stay like this forever. But this is something everyone has to do, no matter how painful.

Let's just have faith.

And the assurance that we will have back in our arms the ones we hold dear.

logic of sadness

Can't you at least see me in the eye?
If talking to me is not in your plans
I may not be the picture you crave in your mind
But I try hard to change myself
Though it's a pain to be beside a statue of marble
I can't keep myself from admiring you
It's like looking at a marvelous painting
An artwork that ignores your infatuation
Would you let me die for you?
Would you let me shield you from the bullets?
It's never too late to understand
But it may be too late for me.

Haay..

I am no lier and I have the stats to prove it!

Enough about the playoffs.

Anytime now, the NBA will be releasingit's all-NBA team. So before they do that, let me give you the low-down of my all-star prospects:

1st team:

Shaq O'neal-the most dominant player in the league definitely has a spot here.
Dirk Nowitzki-the big German has shown in the playoffs that he can slash to the basket and that he can block shots. The MVP award could be next year, Dirk. Could be.
Tim Duncan-honestly, I didn't think that the Big Fundamental will enter the first team because of his injuries, but he is simply amazing in the playoffs.
Dwyane Wade-critics were surprised when they saw Wade transform from a sophomore sensation to a superstar. Now, he just lead Miami to a 4-0 sweep against Washington w/o Shaq.
Steve Nash-league MVP.

2nd team:

Yao Ming-keeps getting better every year, but was rather inconsistent in the playoffs. Has a lot of things to improve at(like his english..hehe) but when Shaq retires, the 7'6" Chinaman will certainly dominate.
Kevin Garnet-was spectacular in the regular season despite being hobbled with injuries and a very disappointing performance from his teammates. Now if he would only ask for a trade.....(Dirk or Tim for Garnet?)
Amare Stoudemire-with Nash's arrival, Stoudemire has taken his game to another level. Ranks in the top5 in scoring and FG%. Can create shots of his own.
Allen Iverson-added another scoring title under his belt. A terror in both ends, he is among the top10 in steals.
LeBron James-in the regular season, LeBron was simply phenomenal. He broke several records as he carried his team in his shoulders most of he way. It's a pity, though that his teammates won't help.

3rd team:

Ben Wallace-one of only 2 players(the other is Dikembe Mutombo) to win the Defensive of the Year award 3 times. Not much of a scorer but is all hustle.
Jermaine O'neal-was plagued with injuries, espescially with his right shoulder but still lead his team to the playoffs. Still a threat in the lowpost and a great shot blocker.
Rashard Lewis-at 6'10", Lewis exploits several mismatches. Can shoot the three but at his best when driving hard to the basket.
Ray Allen-sweet-shooting guard who possesses the most beautiful jumper in the NBA. A great scorer who gets in to a zone where he can't seem to miss.
Manu Ginobili-had a breakout season. MAde the all-star team thanks to his daring drives, exciting plays and torrid shooting. Has been comming off the bench for the Spurs but is still very effective.

magaling ka francis pero mas wafu ako!!!!

ayun..

I'm supposed to be miserable with the fact that Phoenix lost to Dallas. Well, Francis has a point. But I still think Phoenix is a better team. Yeah, the Suns can't play a slow paced game but why would they do that? The high-octane offense is doing wonders for them so why change that? Besides, whatever pace the Mavs play Phoenix will still run. And run. And run. But after Joe Johnson went down with an injury, it seems that, well..uhmmm..0 siya..cge na..mas magaling na Dallas..I won't be surprised if Dallas would win their series against Phoenix. Dallas now knows how to beat Phoenix. And that is to let Steve Nash score. I watched Game 4 unfold and yes, the2004-2005 MVP was spectacular. He scored an NBA playoff best 48 points but he had more turnovers than assists(9:4). With Joe out for the series, Phoenix's weakness is blatantly exposed. Johnson is their only reliever for the 1 guard spot(Barbosa is more of a shooting guard then a point) and with that, the Suns are down to a 3-man bench rotation. The worst thing of all is the Mavs know now how to beat them. Huhuhuu.

Oh yes. As far as the best-lineup-in-the-NBA issue is concerned, I'm still going for MIami. Francis, mah everdearest friend, you probably know what happened to Washington with Shaq Daddy sidelined with a bruised thigh. Yeah, Washington is not in San Antonio's or Detroit's leaugue but Dwyane Wade has done a good job leading the Heat. His perfect third quarter in GAme four against the Wiz is a stuff of legends: 7-for-7 in the field and 8-for-8 in the free throw line. Plus there's Damon and Eddie Jones lighting up the scoreboard with their 3-point shooting. YEah, Spur's bench is deeper but Miami cause mismatch problems. Yeah, yeah no one can guard Tim Duncan but Shaq is the most dominant player today. San Antonio is the best team in the leaugue I'll give the that but as fas as lineup is concerned, I'll go with the diesel-powered Heat.

One more thing. I never realized how deep Seatle's bench is. Despite losing Rashard Lewis and Vladimir Radmanovic to injuries, they were still able to field in 6 players from their bench. Ayun.

I'm stil going for Detroit to win it all. Sure, they're down 1-2 but Rasheed made another bold prediction. And we knew what happened.

eets unpeyr!!!

woah..

Yesterday was rather depressing one. My two favorite teams lost their respective games. This is not good. Nevertheless, they are my best bets to win their respective conferennces and meet in the NBA finals(nakatsamba kc si Dirk eh..huhuhuu..)

Anyway, since I'm already doing something NBA related, let me share to all of you my top5 best teams in the NBA:

5. Dallas Mavericks
Though their victory over Phoenix yesterday was a fluke(nyahahahahahahah), Dallas is a team to be reckoned with. They have a great starting lineup ang a superb bench. Almost anyone coach Avery Johnson fields in could make an impact. What's even more impressive is that their defense has improved from last year. They proved this in their first round opener against Houston(huhuhu..fafa Tmac) and showed it again in Game2 against the Suns. Still, despite their many weapons, they still need Michael Finley and Dirk Nowitski to have big games(Dallas is 16-0[?] when Finley and Dirk scores 20+).
4.Phoenix Suns
Coach of the Year Mike D'antoni must be proud of what his team has accomplished. After losing over 50 games last season, Phoenix went on to make the 3rd best turnaround in NBA history winning an NBA best 62 games, while leading the league in scoring, 2nd in fastbreak points and among the top10 in Fg%. Lead by MVP Steve Nash, the Suns have steamrolled over the competition with their trademark speed and torrid outside shooting. They have torched any opponent foolish enough to play the running game. And now, they're in the playoffs. Still, many are doubting that the Suns can't win it all since they do not play any defense. But, after their 4-0 sweep against Memphis in the first round and their 127-102 thrashing of the MAvs in game 1 of their round 2 series, maybe they can do it.
3.Detroit Pistons
According to Indiana headman Rick Carlisle, the Pistons' starting 5 is the best in the NBA. In the first round of the playoffs and in game 1 against the Pacers, the defending champs have lived up to Carlisle's claim. Detroit's first 5 is a terror in the defensive end. Posting up against this team is very much difficult as you would have to contend against Rasheed Wallace and 3-time Defensive Player of the Year Ben Wallace. In offense, Chauncey Billups anchors the team scoring with his exceptional playmaking and great outside shooting. Rip Hamilton, on the other hand is a modern-day Reggie Miller, with his ability to move without the basketball. While Tayshaun Prince is showing signs of being an All-Star. As for their bench, Antonio McDyess leads a bunch of talented reserves carefully rotated by Hall of Famer Larry Brown. Although their loss in Game 2 revealed a chink in their armour(which is, according to Steve Kerr, the lack of a go-to-guy),they still are the team to beat.
2.Miami Heat
Actually, Miami really has the best lineup in the NBA today. They create several mismatches with Shaq in the lowpost, the superathletic Dwyane Wade manning the point and Eddie & Damon Jones waiting in the wings, plus a string of dependable reserves. They were just narrowly defeated by the Spurs because San Antonio has the championship experience. But there is a legitimate reason why the Heat is the pick of NBA legends to win the title this year. Shaq has not been his usual dominating self but Wade is playing like a man possesed. Once the Big Diesel does wake up, better watch out.
1.San Antonio Spurs
As much as I hate this teams. I can't really dicount the fact that they have the best team in the NBA, talentwise and experiencewise. Though hobbled by injuries, Tim Duncan has been superb in the playoffs(when doesn't he?) while Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili(who has been comming of the bench) have been simply amazing. Plus, their role players have been doing good as well, espescially Brent Barry, Nazr Mohammed and Robert Horry. But what makes this team so dangerous is that they can beat you in your own game. They can win in a fast-paced game and they can win in a defensive brawl. Their trademark defense is really a pain in the a*s.
ayun..that's my list..wahehehe..

state of monotony

At 'di mo parin maintindihan.
at 'di mo parin maintindihan.
O bakit ba, pag wala ka na, ako'y kulang,
ako'y kulang
Sinabi ko sa kanya,
na 'di parin nililikha
ang katulad ko na parang timang,
At 'di mo parin maintindihan.
