March 20 was a day that Filipinos all over the world dread to remember. 'Twas a day that all their hopes were shattered with a painful cut. A day when Philippine boxing hero Manny Pacqiao lost to a 12-round unanimous descision against Eric Morales. It was a dissappointing defeat yet one cannot help but admire "Pacman's" heart and determination that even with a nasty cut above his right eyebrow, he never gave up, he never quit contrary to what Morales' manager said before the bout. He went toe-to-toe with "El Terible" and despite the obvious weakening and slowing down of his punches, he managed to reel in several great shots to Morales' face, which the Mexican icon shrugged off. In the end, however, the blood that Pacqiao lost thanks to a cut he suffered after a headbutt in the 5th round took it's toll on the heralded southpaw and lost by points, 115-113 as scored by all three judges. There were many factors to consider, though why he lost a match that people thought he'll win easily, but a lose is still a lose and you can see dissappointment etched all over the Filipino's face. Still, in the eyes of his countryman,he is still the true People's champion...
